  • Professor: So the monophysites believed that Jesus could not have been man at all, but completely divine. Mono means one, physite means form.
  • Student: Is it possible that some monophysites believed the opposite, that Jesus was merely man, and not divine at all?
  • Professor: Um, yeah. They would be the Jews.
