For years you've been watching your tongue so that what you say doesn't end up here. Now, you'll have to watch how you look. You never know who has a camera.
actually, it's pretty useful in the business world. there are a lot of german based companies in america and speaking the language helps extremely when applying for a job. just because it's not as important as spanish (in the US) or you don't know anyone personally who speaks german, doesn't mean no one speaks it. stupid girl.
It's actually one of the top five languages (besides English) Fortune 100 companies like Disney look for. And the lack of German speakers hurts American communities when German companies want to come in. Take Chattanooga and Volkswagen, for example. All the schools in Chatt got rid of their German programs about ten years ago. Now they have to build them back up if they want the VW people to send their kids there. The only people there who currently speak it grew up learning it at home.
as in that's the wurst possible attempt at mimicking german. and as far as using a german accent, not all speakers of the language are native speakers. the accent isn't necessary. you fail.
i'm kind of with "girl"; in terms of sheer language usefulness, you're rarely going to run into someone who speaks german who doesn't also speak english. not the case with french, spanish, arabic, mandarin, etc.
